ABOUT ME "We live on earth just once. Do the best
task as your greatest performance."
My name is Mars. I'm currently maintaining several web sites including the BAG
of which I am the founder and moderator, the
IVCF-SMRU of
which I am an IVPM member. Added to this website was the Electronic
Database I designed to host members in Southern Mindanao; the
USMKCC in
Kidapawan City where
I work as a Faculty; the
Kanlungan-
an orphanage house for children in Ermita-Manila; When I offered my
services free, they added me to the friends of Kanlungan as
an answered prayer for website
support; the
CEMIARC
based in Amas, Cotabato;
the Shepherd
Site hosting our Christian Ministry; the ASPI-
as our final requirement in MIM; and the
MT. APOKIDS
with advancement program for Kidapawan Scouts.
I also designed the
RSBYF
which was opened to campers before the Summer 2004.
Launched at Kidapawan City, the fellowship encompasses all Baptist
Youth programs within the region.
In January 2005, we visited a Vineyard Ministry in Davao City for
some immersion experience, and I made a website for them as
my commitment to Kuya Alan Bacus. That's the
vcf-mirol-o.
The recent one that I develop was the
mvbyf
website hosting webpages of its members. In summer
2005, I was volunteered to be one of the core of
this fellowship as a Publication director.
I'm using the following in my computer applications:
Platform: Windows 98, Windows 2000 Server, Windows XP
Database: MS Access

I do sketching and painting during my spare time. I do charcoal portraiture a lot. I have spoiled tubes of oil paints and acrylics on my still lifes. I do photography on
various subjects of interest. You will have access to some of my
works in this page.
I often kill many hours in front of my desktop PC on programming works. The latest niche I had is an the Electronic Database for IVCF-SMRU. Prior to this, I have wasted so much time programming the Electronic Grading System for my class. I'm fond of listening to soft Christian music when working.
I work as Asst. Professor III teaching Humanities, Philosophy, Technical & Engineering Drawing and Computer Education at the University of Southern Mindanao in Kidapawan City.
I am a member of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (Rover Scout), and Trainor/ Merit Badge Counselor for the Montgomery Training and Advancement Program of Kidapawan Scouts (MT. APOKIDS).
I'm also involve in the ministry of the church particularly in the mission, a
church elder and member of the pastoral team, and an often speaker-lecturer on topics of great interest to young people in Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato and North Cotabato area.
The latest craze that I learned is how to play the
violin. I also refreshed my self with the guitar
playing.

Untitled 3
FIRST IN ME "No one knows my wandering except my God.
The second change is worth to live. How can I discover the worth of
its meaning?"
1. THE ELDEST OF THE ELDEST OF AN ELDEST. I'm the
eldest son of an eldest father from an eldest grandfather. In
Muslim Mindanao, I'm suppose to be handling the tarsilan
keeping all the records of our descendants.
2. CLINICAL DEATH EXPERIENCE. I experienced clinical
death when I was 6 months and 12 days old- that was when my family exhausted
all the resources to have my brain fixed. I got a meningitis,
and the family doctor sees that I can't make it. He declared
that if I can survive, I will be totally abnormal. So, that's
it- motionless, the sign of life left me dead. I was already stocked in a morgue waiting to be embalmed but
delayed because the 4 dead (stubbed) men was given priority.
For the next 24 hours in the morgue, my father fasted as he
prayed for my restoration....well, that was the story that reached
me in packets. In 2003, I went back to my hometown to look for the funeral
home, and the hospital where I was medicated to get records, but
dismayed because the concerned persons have migrated to other
places already.
3. UFO SIGHTING. When I was in grade four, 4 o'clock in
the afternoon while securing the palay for milling, I saw 2
red objects in the sky- really red, it looks like kitchen
plates, or like bilao with its same covering at the top- it's
like being thrown in the sky but it
is really huge and foreign. At the height of a coconut tree,
almost 300 meters away, I didn't heard any sound of its
motion. These 2 objects moves to the east in a synchronized
manner, same in speed and uniform in distance, alternately
releasing its glow like a blink of a flip-flop. When I asked
my mother about the object (because she was with me doing the
task), she can't give me any answer because she did not seen
what I saw. I'll kept an eye on the strange object as the
object slowly reduce in size as it goes farther. The inquiry
about the object was not answered for 21 years until I saw a
documentation in the National Geographic TV channel about UFO sightings. Now, I
confirmed into myself that what I saw was something that not
all human beings had experienced.
4. THE GATE KEEPER. I didn't know that being a gate
keeper in the church was a sort of ministry. In grade 3, I used to
clean the church every early Sunday, arranged for the table,
put table clothes and song books, open the church for the
worshippers and close the same after the service.
5. ORGANIZATION. In college, I was entrusted leadership
positions while maintaining grades in the dean's list.
That was in 1992: I was the president of Inter-Varsity
Christian Fellowship (IVCF) in the University, Council officer
of Inter-Org Christian Fellowship (IOCF), President of
Philippine Industrial Educator's Society, President of Kabacan
Baptist Church' Youth, President of Daguma Baptist Church'
Youth, President of Zone-4 Southern Baptist Youth Fellowship,
and PIO of Sultan Kudarat Baptist Youth Fellowship. During
this era, all organizations under my leadership attained its
peak in terms of its membership and activities.
6. PERSONAL COMPUTER. I am the first in the family to
have a PC. When I bought my PC, that was when 486 was the
leader with 64MB RAM and 560MB of HD. At least, I started with
Windows 95. Now I got a black P-IV with Intel P4Pe Mboard,
Intel Pentium4-2.8
GHz processor, 40GB Barrakuda HD, 512MB RAM, huge 17" screen,
64MB GForce4 sound card and a Creative speaker. Growing up
with desktop, I now enjoy doing programming works with my 14.1
widescreen Barebone Asus Intel Core Centrino Duo with 2.50GB
RAM, 320 GB HDD + bundled with hardware enough for me to go
online in a regular basis.
7. SCHOLARSHIP. In the school (NCCAT, now USM) where I
worked , I am the first to have enjoyed scholarship program
sponsored by the Civil Service Commission (CSC-LSP-MD)- a government
scholar for 1 year. Relieved of all my teaching positions, I
enjoyed my salary without working for it- just going to
school.
8. CYBER WORKS. Back to work after the scholarship, I
am the first man put in-charge of the USM-KCC Cyberspace
Center.
9. MINISTRY. Being in the core of leadership, I offered
my house as a center of the RSBYF- CAMP FORTRESS meetings,
keepers of ministry documents and gallery of the camps
memorabilia.
10. MOBILE PHONE. In the Philippine era of
telecommunication when NOKIA 5110 was the top of the line, I
got a 2-liner Ericsson S868 with an antenna. Today, toys like
this with some sort of protruding is likely annoying in the
pocket. After outgrowing Nokia 32xx lines, got
a high-end Sony Ericsson K700i. In May 2006, 9 months after
using K700i, I gave it to my sister for an upgrade.
Years later, I got SE W800i walkman 2.0 MPix camera with 512Mb internal memory.
In June 2009, I bought SE Cyber-shot K850i in whooping 5.0MPix
camera with 512 MB storage.
11. SSB
RADIO. In 1996, Alinco DJ-180 VHF transmitter was my mode of
communication when mobile phone was not yet the tool we know today.
Our family matched this with the ICOM 02A VHF. These instruments
helped us ease the problem with homesickness since I worked from a
distant place. Of course, I towered a 6-loop antenna I designed
myself.
12. FEBRUARY 14. I do not go out of February 14. I met
a vehicular accident twice already. Got a laceration on my left ear,
was stocked between rocks in a creek, and hospitalized. Now young people
wonder why I stayed home in valentine's day.
13. COLLEGE RING. Its an 18k gold ring that I ordered from
Cagayan de Oro city. When I gained weight, I didn't noticed that the
ring seems to make a notch on my finger. After 6 years of wearing,
I had it to be resized to a goldsmith.
14.
THE MEDALLION. Got the medal after reaching a Grade Point Average
(GPA) of 1.725. Still the first in the clan to get the award. The
only in my class when I graduated the BS course.
15. VERTIGO. Got this sort of problem of becoming workaholic.
In spite of this, I
am gaining weight. From June to November 2003, got a difference of 7 kilos,
huh! Now the first to gain 71 kilos, I cant manage my body.
I was hospitalized. Staying in the hospital seems boring since I
cant work with my PC, I asked the doctor if I can play with my
painting brushes. While staying in the hospital for 4 days, I
finished a masterpiece- a 12" x 18" oil in canvass.
16. CAMERAS. In 2003, I got a Victor 20x MiniDV GR-DVM1
videocam from a pawnshop. Though an old class of handy cam, it gave
me the passion to record activities of any sort. Got hold also of a JVC Camcorder GR-AX201A and several Canon PowerShots (that's when
A200 and A400 was the latest). Now, I'm using a brand new DSC-H1 12x
Sony Cyber-Shot 5.1 MPix equipped with 256MB memory stick duo pro
and black leather jacket encasement for my nature trekking & adventure.
